You want to add more happiness, joy, and peace to your life?  Well, guess what, the 90/10 rule in happiness is definitely what you need. I didn’t create this rule but I do live by it!

The 90/10 rule in happiness says that 90% of your happiness should come from yourself and 10% of your happiness should come from your external world.

So, what does that look like? 

It means that 90% of happiness is created by you and how you choose to live your life.  This is the type of happiness that comes from your deep level of self-awareness and connection to your own intuition.

This is the type of happiness that comes from:

  • Meditating.
  • Walking in nature.
  • Staying consistent with a healthy lifestyle the brings you energy and balance.
  • Creating and working toward personal goals.
  • Having fun experiences like playing sports, reading mountain climbing, knitting, traveling, cooking or eating at fun restaurants if you are a foodie.
  • Giving yourself time to relax and indulge in self-care.
  • Gratitude/being thankful

On the flip-side, 10% of your happiness comes from your external relationships and experience you don’t always control. Such as:

  • Spouse
  • Children
  • Coworkers
  • Parents
  • Friends
  • Overall community
  • Job or career

Imagine how different life would be if we allowed ourselves time to truly cultivate a practice everday that fed our souls.  A practice that taught us how to be happy without depending on other peoples behaviors or specific worldly conditions.

What if I told you this was EXACTLY what I teach women to do in my 90 day one on one coaching program?  I don’t want to call myself a “happiness expert” but technically that is what I am, lol.  You see when I hit my rock bottom in my life, happiness became my GOAL.
