The 90/10 happiness rule means that 90% of happiness is created by you and how you choose to live your life. This is the type of happiness that comes from your deep level of self-awareness and connection to your own intuition.

This type of happiness if often generated by:

  • Meditating
  • Walking in nature
  • Staying consistent with a healthy lifestyle
  • Creating and working towards personal goals
  • Having fun experiences
  • Giving yourself time to relax
  • Gratitude

On the flip-side, 10% of your happiness comes from your external relationships and experiences you don’t always control.
