HOW GUIDED MEDITATION CAN SHIFT YOUR MINDSET SO YOU CAN GET WANT YOU DESIRE MOST

When I first started on my journey years ago to self-development, self-improvement, I was in a space where I was in a very unhappy marriage, I was working on my health, and I was searching for a better way of living.

I lived in Atlanta, Georgia, in a neighborhood that had a Buddhist Temple. I never really paid attention to it until one day something caught my eye. The temple had a sign explaining that on Wednesdays they would be teaching meditation to anyone in the community who wanted to learn.

At that point in my life, I had read a few books on meditation and used online videos to help me meditate.  I had never meditated with a group or had anyone teach me how to meditate.

So, I Googled this temple to figure out what they offered and ended up going to a group meditation class at the temple.  The class was so good at helping me quiet my mind, step into my awareness and be mindful of gratitude.

That experience was the beginning of my dedication to using meditation as part of my daily practice.

Even though I learned to meditate at a Buddhist temple, meditation isn’t just for spiritual or religious purposes.  There are a lot of reasons that people meditate such as

  • to lower anxiety and stress
  • decrease depression symptoms
  • lower high blood pressure
  • decrease physical pain
  • lose weight
  • eliminate addictions such as smoking and alcohol

The number 1 reason that I use meditation and why I offer it to my clients is that meditation can totally reprogram your mind. It can help you to program your mind to do what you want it to do.

Our minds, our brains are like computers, computers get programmed to do specific tasks.  A computer is a machine that has been made in the image and the likeness of a human being, because it was created by a human being. The only difference is that the creators of computers took out all the emotional aspects and left the functioning brain aka, the hard drive.

Just like we can program a computer, we can program our brains, and control our mindset to do what we want it to do.  Our brains and our minds are connected to the rest of our bodies. So, when we use meditation to connect to our brains, we are also making changes in our bodies.

There are so many different types of meditation, the specific meditation that I think is very powerful is guided meditation.  Guided meditation is a type of meditation that I specifically use in my brand-new program, The Confident Woman’s Healthy Lifestyle Guide [if you want to check out that program just click here]

A guided meditation means that you’re listening to someone, walk you through the process of going into your deep meditation, to your deep awareness of self.

If you’re a beginner or don’t really know about meditation, you don’t have to think hard because the person who’s talking to you is telling you what to do during the guided meditation.

The voice is explaining to you how to breathe, what steps you’re going to take, and what to visualize during the meditation.   Guided meditations are transformative, which is the reason why I wanted to add guided meditations to my self-paced online program, the Confident Woman’s Healthy Lifestyle Guide.

When I started to learn meditation, I noticed the effect that guided meditations had versus just me sitting in silence.  Guided Meditations were really great for programming my mind to specific things that I wanted to change, so for example, in my program, The Confident Woman’s Healthy Lifestyle Guide, I have meditations that help with

  • having a balanced life
  • nourishing the mind and body
  • detoxing the body
  • understanding how to create habit change
  • and staying focused when times get challenging.

When I started listening to guided meditations, I started to witness the physical changes that I wanted to have in my life.  I started to receive all the things I want in 3D, in the tangible world.

But before it came to me in reality, I allowed it to be created in my mind first.  I had to visualize and see myself in the place that I wanted to be in real life.  That could only happen using guided meditations to guide me there and get me to that mental space.

When you use guided meditations you will completely reprogram your mind to not only boost your confidence, your self-esteem, your belief in yourself, but also make the changes that you want to see in you reality.  So definitely make sure you check out my course here >> The Confident Woman’s Healthy Lifestyle Guide
