It was not long ago that I was living a life that was making me miserable. I was in a draining marriage, my corporate career was making me have small panic attacks, I was super unhealthy, and I was 40 lbs. overweight. I knew something had to change because I was starting to get depressed.
I decided to start working out so I could lose weight. I figured if I lost a couple of pounds that would at least make me look and feel better.
Every day I started walking, then jogging, then I joined a gym and started lifting weights. My body started to transform before my eyes. This led me to start competing in bodybuilding figure-level fitness shows. Seeing myself take control of my health made me feel strong, confident, and in control of my life.
That was the beginning of me taking a stand and realizing that I had much more inside myself to offer the world. But it would take me several more years on my journey to figure out how to get out of my way and keep building my inner strength so that I could become the best version of myself.
Eventually, I got divorced, left the corporate world, and started my own business. The person I had to become to create the life I live today was a woman with high self-esteem, determination, a will to succeed, and most importantly, extreme confidence.
